عج لميزاب سرورٍ قد غدا

نزهة الرائين يروي كل عين

A joyous celebration has arrived in Mizab

A sight pleasing every beholder's eye

دافقاً مثل حسامٍ مصلتٍ

أو كقوس صيغ من ذوب اللجين

Gushing like a sharpened sword

Or a bow made from melted steel

هامياً مثل عطايا ذي الثنا

من حكى البحر بفياض اليدين

Swaying like the gifts of the generous one

Who narrated the sea with overflowing hands

الشهابي البشير المرتقي

بشهاب الفضل أوج الفرقدين

The auspicious, bringer of good news, elevated one

With the meteors of virtue, the highest of the two bright stars

دام محفوظاً بسعدٍ وعلا

ما بدا في الافق نور القمرين

May he remain protected with fortune and glory

As long as the light of the two moons shines on the horizon
