هنيت يا بدر المحامد والثنا

في منزلٍ حسن المعالم والبنا

Blessed are you, O full moon of every virtue and praise,

In a home lovely in its features and construction.

وله الهنا بك يا أبا بكرٍ لقد

حاز المحاسن من صفاتك والثنا

Through you it knows delight, O Abu Bakr; truly,

It has gained beauty from your qualities, and praise.

لا زلت ذا سعدٍ يدوم وهمةٍ

عليا تنال بها الأماني والمنا

May you ever possess enduring good fortune and an aspiration—

Lofty, through which you attain your hopes and desires.

فاسكنه بالعيش الرغيد فإنه

أضحى مقاماً للسعادةِ مسكنا

So dwell in it amid a life of plenty, for it

Has become an abode—a dwelling place for happiness.

واسلم له بالعز قد ارختهُ

بيتٌ زهيٌ بالمسرة والهنا

And remain there safe in honor. I have set its date:

“A radiant house, filled with joy and bliss.”
