يا من يغاث به وينعم بالنجا

يا من إذا ما اشتد خطب فرّجا

O you who brings relief and bestows blessings

O you who, when tribulations intensify, brings deliverance

يا من بعظم جلاله شهد الورى

يا من له التسبيح في غسق الدجا

O you whose great majesty the world has witnessed

O you who is praised at the falling of dusk and dawn

يا من له قلبي تعلق بالدعا

غثنى بلطفك يا عظيم المرتجى

O you to whom my heart clings in supplication

Relieve me with your kindness, O greatest of hopes

مولاي عبدك عند بابك واقف

فاشمل بجودك من إليك قد التجى

My Master, your servant stands at your door

So include with your generosity one who has come seeking refuge

أني ببابك خاضعٌ متذللٌ

وعظيم ذنبي في لظاه تاججا

I stand humbly and submissively at your door

And my great sin blazes fiercely

فامنحيني غفرانا وهبني منّة

وامنن بعفو من سناك تبلجا

So grant me forgiveness and bless me with favour

And favour me with pardon for my glowing transgressions

أني بشير في عنايتك التي

انجو بها عند الشدائد والشجا

I am hopeful in your care which

Saves me in times of distress and hardship

وشهاب نور ضياك غاية مقصدي

حاشا أضام وأنت لي نعم الرجال

The light of your brilliance is the goal I seek

Never would I err when you are my excellent protector
