إن تصحب الناس فكن صابراً

واحمل على النفس أذى الصبرِ

If you keep company with people, be patient

And bear with patience the harm to yourself

فقبضك الناس مداراتهمُ

وذاك كالقبض على الجمرِ

For people will disappoint you with their actions

And that is like grasping hot coals
