لاح للأفراح بدر

وأتى السعد المسر

The moon of joys shone

And happiness came abundantly

وبدا أبهى سرور

بأمان يستقر

And the greatest joy appeared

With settled peace

وهزار الانس غنى

بالصفا يعلوه بشر

And the melody of humanity sang

With purity it rises high

وسما روض التهاني

وتسامت فيه دهر

And the garden of congratulations thrived

And eternity became sublime in it

والمسرات تبدت

بالأماني تستمر

And happiness started

With hopes ongoing

باهت الأيام لما

هب للأفراح نشر

The days became radiant when

Joy's light shone

وصفا الوقت هنيئا

وزها ربع وعصر

And time became pleasant

As the quarter and era thrived

اشرق الايناس لما

للبها اشرق ثغر

Serenity shone when

Smiles shone from the moon

وشدت ورقاء عز

يا بني العلياء سروا

And the leaves of dignity rustled

O children of glorious ancestry, rejoice

جاء سعد مذ تسامى

بالهنا الشهم الأبرّ

Good fortune came when

The brave, generous moon rose

الأمين الماجد المأمون

والمولى الأغر

The trusted, glorious, secured one

And the most forgiving master

من تباهى فيه مجد

وهو للسؤدد صدر

In whom glory praises itself

And he is generous at calamities

خير نجم ذي شهاب

يتلالى فيه نصر

The best star with a flaming tail

In which victory shines continuously

فاخرت فيه المعالي

مذ علاها منه أمر

Greatness shone in him

When he commanded it to rise

ذو ذكاء صبح رشد

وله الحزم يقر

With bright, guiding intelligence

And decisive wisdom

وأمير ذو إياد

من نداها جاد قطر

And a prince of great generosity

Whose clouds poured heavy rain

فهو بحر وابن من قد

فاض من كفيه بحر

He is an ocean and son of one whose

Hands poured oceans

وهمام شبل ليث

ان غزا الآساد فروا

And a lion cub whose father

When lions attacked, they fled

من به اخصب عدل

وبه أزهر سير

The one who fertilized justice

And the one who flourished conduct

رب فضل وثناء

عم من نعماه يسر

Lord of virtue and praise

He blessed the one he favored

فاق معنى بهبات

ما لها حد وحصر

He exceeded the essence of gifts

That have no limit or end

وبنثر الجود من

راحاته قد عاش شعر

And with his endless generosity he lived

So poetry flourished

فلنا منه العطايا

وله نظم ونثر

From him we have gifts

And poetry and prose

سيد حاز خلالا

ليس يحصيهن فكر

A master who gained great traits

That minds cannot comprehend

للمنى جاء بشيرا

فحبانا منه خير

He came joyfully announcing

So he granted us the good

ساد لبنان فاضحى

من سناه نعم قطر

He presided over Lebanon, so it became

From his brilliance a pouring rain

وأمين المجد فيه

من أبيه لاح سر

And the trusted glory in it

From his father shone

كوكب اشرق سعدا

وله العليا مقر

A star shone with happiness

And supremacy is its abode

يا أمينا في علاه

وكريما نعم حر

O trustee in its supremacy

And generous, excellent freeman

تتهنى في زواج

ذي سعود وتسر

You rejoice in the marriage

Of this joyous one and are delighted

واقتران بالتهاني

دائما ما طال دهر

And with congratulations forever

As long as time continues on

وزفاف خير عرس

زانها أمن وطهر

And the marriage is the best wedding

Adorned with security and purity

جادك المولى بنصر

وطويل لك عمر

May God grant you victory

And long life

وترى انجال عز

زفهم سعد وقدر

And may you see the children of glory

Their wedding, fortune, and fate

قد أتى التاريخ يزهو

قارن الزهرة بدر

History has come beaming
