الكسوس البدر قد زفت لمنزله

مر كيزة الشمس ذات المبسم العطرِ

The full moon has risen to its abode

The sun, with its fragrant smile, has passed

تضيءُ بالسعد والإقبال غرتها

كما تبسم منها الثغر عن درر

It lights up its chamber with bliss and favor

As its lips smile, scattering pearls

كأنما درر الأكليل مشرقةً

جمع المسرات عند السمع والبصرِ

As if the pearls of the crown are shining

Bringing joy to hearing and sight

هناكما اللَه تبريكاً ومدّكما

بكل نجلٍ يحاكي كوكب السحرِ

May God bless you both there

With every brilliant son like a magic star

نعم الزواج وقد أهدى مؤرخه

سامي التهاني اقتران الشمس بالقمرِ
