صاح وافى داعي الهناء يشير
في سعود وقد تجلى السرورُ
Joy's herald sang, signalling delight,
In Sa'ud, and happiness was revealed.
وهذار الأفراح غرد صبحا
في ربوع لها الأماني زهورُ
The birds of joy tweeted in the morn
In meadows where hopes are flowers.
وتغنت بلابل الدوح لما
ماس تيها غصن الصفاء النضيرُ
The nightingales sang when the branch
Of pure willow gently swayed.
أشرقت أنجم التهاني جملا
حين ضاءت بالاقتران بدورُ
The stars of congratulations shone
When cycles with cycles paired.
حيث أضحى على الثريا أمينا
في سماء الزفاف بدر منيرُ
Becoming the trustee on the throne -
At the sky of marriage, a shining moon.
وتبدت من المسرات تجلى
راح انس على الندامى تدورُ
From joys appeared a manifestation
That set bliss flowing in lamenters.
وتجلت فوق الأرائك ورق
تتناجى بشرا بأمن يفورُ
And over thrones appeared, fluttering,
Paper whispering of abundant security.
يا نديمي قد راق وقت التصابي
وتداني المنى وفاض الحبورُ
My friend, the time for accord has come,
Wishes drew near, passions overflowed.
نسمات السرور هبت علينا
يتهادى من نشرهن عبيرُ
Breezes of joy blew upon us,
Scattering their fragrance as they spread.
قم وبادر معاهد الصفو واغنم
طيب عيش لك الأمان سميرُ
Arise, and hasten to pledge loyalty,
And gain the good life - for you, security.
إن عرف الأزهار بت شذاها
حين وافت صبا التهاني تمورُ
The garden's known for its fragrant bloom
When the winds of congratulations come.
ولطيف النسيم حرك نايا
عندما صاح بالصفاء الغديرُ
The gentle breeze stirred a flute
When the clear stream called.
وإيادي الرياح دقت دفوفا
وتثنى لذاك ظبي غريرُ
The hands of winds beat drums
And for it the slender gazelle bowed.
وغصون الرياض ماست دلالا
حين غنت من فوقهنّ الطيورُ
The garden's branches touched gently
When birds above them sang.
وكؤوس الآمال أهدت نجاحا
حين دارت بنا ولذّ الحضورُ
When we circled, cups of hopes
Offered success, and presence was sweet.
يا سقاة الأقداح هبوا صباحا
بصبوح لها القلوب تطيرُ
Oh, pourers of wine, give us a morning
With a dawn where hearts take flight!
واديروا مع الصبابة راحا
من سناه تجلى وتنفى الكدورُ
Take comfort with the young ones,
Whose brightness makes sorrows disappear.
أخصبت العيش والتمني لما
من نبات البشير فاضت بحورُ
Life and hopes thrived when
From the harbinger's growth, seas overflowed.
فهو ذو السؤدد الشريف ومولى
قد تعالى به المقام الخطيرُ
He is of noble lineage, and my Master -
With him, the momentous station is exalted.
كم تدانت له المقاصد رشدا
وتحلت من المعالي ثغورُ
How many righteous aims moved toward him!
How many heights were adorned with openings!
كل جود طليق كفيه لكن
كل حمد لراحتيه أسيرُ
Every free generosity is in his hands,
But every praise is captive to his tranquility.
ذو أياد تفيض بحر هبات
لو رآها كعب الأيادي يجيرُ
He whose hands pour a sea of gifts -
If Ka'b saw them, he would flee!
حاز لبنان من سناه ابتهاجا
وحباه بشر وخير فخيرُ
Lebanon gained from his brightness, rejoicing,
And he granted it good - so, goodness.
يا بشير له السعود اشارت
وشهابا به العلى تستنيرُ
O Bashir! For you the Sa'uds gestured,
And with you a star in the heights shines.
أنت للمجد والمكارم رب
وهمام على المعالي أميرُ
You, for glory and nobility, are the Lord,
And protector of the heights, O Prince!
كل نصر لروض عزك دان
حيث نادى للسعد فيه البشيرُ
Every victory is lowly to the garden of your honour,
Where the Bashir called out for happiness.
قام داعي الأنام يشدو بربع
أنت للعدل فيه نعم النصيرُ
The caller to mankind sang in your meadow -
For justice there, you are the excellent supporter!
ليس يلقى بين العوالم طرا
لك ند ياذا الثنا أو نظيرُ
None finds between the worlds another path to you,
Or, you of praise, one who rivals you.
ما تجلى شهاب سعدك إلّا
فوق شهب النجوم اضحى يسيرُ
No star of your good fortune rose
Except above the stars, easy to go.
أنت طود الفخار يا خير مولى
في حماه بنو العلى تستجيرُ
You, the mountain of pride! O best Master!
In Hama, the exalted take refuge in you.
قد تهنى الزمان فيك اعتزازاً
وعلاه من ثغر عدلك نورُ
Time glories in you with pride,
And from your justice's horizon, light is exalted.
فزهناء في حسن انجال سعد
هم نجوم العلى ونعم الصدورُ
The moons in the beauty of your fortunes' gaze
Are lofty stars - excellent houses!
شهب افق أشبال فتك سراة
حيث أنت الغضنفر المشهورُ
Meteors on the horizon of your cubs
Where you are the famed lion!
وكرام من كل قاسم جيش
قد تسامى به النداء الغزيرُ
Noble princes from every brave army
Whose loud call was raised on high!
وخليل ان كر فوق جواد
خلت نسرا يعلوه ليث جسورُ
And Khalil - if eminent on a steed -
Seemed an eagle a courageous lion carries!
وأمين العلياء أحسن شهم
قد تبدى به الهناء الوفيرُ
And the loyal one, Amin, of excellent character
Whose abundant delight appeared.
أن هذا الزفاف أجمل عرس
وسعيد مبارك وطهورُ
This wedding is the most beautiful ritual,
Fortunate, blessed, and pristine!
وزواج أضحى أمين اقتران
كل سعد يأتي به ويزورُ
A union where Amin's pairing
Brings every happiness that visits and frequents.
ناشدتنا الأفراح ذات ابتسام
حين زف المولى الأمين الوقورُ
Joys with smiling faces congratulated us
When the dignified Master was brought as groom.
وجبين الأيام أشرق حسنا
وتردت ثوب الجمال العصورُ
The forehead of days shone beautifully,
And time donned the dress of beauty.
تتهنى فيه وفي أخويه
وبنيهم ما تستدير الدهورُ
It congratulates, in it and in its brothers,
What cycles of times revolve!
