نال العلى داود والآن بدا

في مطلع الأنوار سامي العلمِ

Dawood attained the heights, and now began

At the dawn of light, lofty of knowledge,

كما حوى الذكر الزبور أرخوا

بأنهُ داود شيخ الحرم

As the Psalms contained the mention, they recorded

That he is Dawood, the revered elder.
