وَبِمُهجَتي مَن زارَني
مِن غَيرِ وَعدٍ وَاِشتِراطِ
With my joy, whoever visited me
Without promise or condition
جَذلانَ ناعِمُ جسمِهِ
يَحكي لِرِقَّتِهِ الغَباطي
Tender-bodied, graceful
Telling of his gentleness and happiness
حَيّا وَأَحسَنَ بِالتَحِي
يَةِ بِاِمتِزاجٍ وَاِنبِساطِ
Greeted well and did good with welcome
With mixing and expansion
وَدَنا يُعاطينا سُلا
فَةَ ريقِهِ أَحلى تَعاطي
And came close offering us the drink
Of his saliva, the sweetest tasting
حَيثُ العِناقُ فَضاؤُهُ
ما بَينَنا سُمُّ الخِياطِ
Where embracing, its redundancy
Between us the poison of the tailor
في لَيلَةٍ قَضَّيتُها
ما بَينَ لهوٍ وَاِغتِباطِ
In a night I spent
Between playing and rejoicing
عُرسِيَّةً ضَرَبَت طُبو
لَ رُعودِها أَيدي شَباطِ
A wedding that struck its drums
Whose thunder was struck by young men's hands
وَالبَرقُ يَرقُصُ فَرحَةً
وَالقَطرُ يَأخُذُ في النِقاطِ
And lightning dances happily
And rainfall takes to sprinkling
تَغدو الرِياحُ عليه ما
بين إرتفاع وانحطاط
The winds blow on it between
Rising and falling
يا بحر حسن نبت عا
رِضِهِ المَديدِ عَلَيهِ شاطي
O sea of beautiful growth its
Long shore upon it my coast
كَم قَد عُذِلتُ عَلى هَوا
كَ فَلَم يُفِد سَمعي البَلاطي
How much have I been blamed for your
Love but my advisor did not benefit
يا كَوكَبَ الحُسنِ الَّذي
قَلبي لَهُ حَدَّ الرِباطِ
O star of beauty whom
My heart for it has reached the strap
ما كانَ أَطيبَها مُخا
لَطَة وَنَحنُ عَلى خلاطِ
What was the sweetest was our
Mixing while we were on the pillow
يا دَهرُ ساعِدني عَلى
ذاكَ الهَوى كَرَماً وَواطي
O time, help me with
That love generously and make comfortable
وَاِحكُم جَزاءَ جَميلِ صُن
عِكَ في حَياتي بِاِشتِطاطِ
And judge the reward of your good
Characteristics in my life by conditioning
ميعادُ قَلبي في سُلو
وك وَالجَوابُ عَلى الصِراطِ
