وحَياةِ أشواقي إليكَ

وتُرْبَةِ الصَّبرِ الجميلِ

By my life and my yearning for you

And by the beautiful soil of patience

ما استحسَنَتْ عيني سواكَ

ولا صَبَوْتُ إلى خليلِ

My eyes did not find anyone as beautiful as you

Nor did I incline towards another companion
