أنت امرؤ إِما ائتمنتكَ خالياً

فخنتَ وإِمَّا قلتَ قولاً بلا علم

You are a man whom I entrusted when alone

Yet you betrayed me or spoke without knowledge

فأبت من الأمرِ الذي كانَ بيننا

بمنزلةٍ بينَ الخيانةِ والإثم

So you refused the matter that was between us

Like the position between betrayal and sin
