وَإِذا المَطِيُّ سَبَحنَ في أَعطافِهِ

فاتَ المَطيَّ بِكاهِلٍ وَتَليلِ

When the steed glides smoothly with him through the valleys

The rider looks handsome and the mount looks elegant

فَكَأَنَّهُ وَالناعِجاتُ يُرِدنَهُ

قِدحٌ يُطَلَّعُ مِن قِداحِ مُجيلِ

As though he and the roaming beasts would restore to each other
