No grief except as I grieved for him

A horseman who was graceful among us

O you who pardon the ignorance of fools

With forbearance, and o you whose might prevails when the battle is joined

O you whose enemy's abodes are left desolate

As well as o you whose softness companions find when they draw near

O you who pains those who injured him

One day, and o you who joins those who come close

If anyone before had attained immortality

His hands would have provided the means to immortality
