ما أَنتَ يا كُردِيُّ بِالهَشِّ
وَلا أُبَرّيكَ مِنَ الغِشِّ
You are not, O Kurd, a man of warmth,
Nor do I acquit you of deceit.
لَم تُهدِنا نَعلاً وَلا خاتَماً
مِن أَينَ أَقبَلتَ مِنَ الحَشِّ
You gave us neither sandal nor ring—
Where have you come from? From the privy?
