أَبا حُذَيفَةَ قَد أُوتيتَ مُعجَبَةً

مِن خُطبَةٍ بَدَهَت مِن غَيرِ تَقديرِ

Abu Hudhayfa, you have been granted an amazing

speech that appeared spontaneously without forethought.

وَإِنَّ قَولاً يَروقُ الخالِدَينِ مَعاً

لَمُسكِتٌ مُخرِسٌ عَن كُلِّ تَحبيرِ

Indeed, a saying pleasing to both communities together

is a silent one, rendered speechless of any explanation.
