1. يا مَن بِرائِقِ ريقِهِ يُحيي الوَرى

    وَبِسِحرِ عَينَيهِ النَواعِسِ يَقتُلُ

    O you whose radiant smile brings life to the land

    And whose bewitching eyes slay the gazelles

  2. مِن سِحرِ عَينَيكِ المَهاةُ تَعَلَّمَت

    وَكَذَلِكَ الغِزلانُ مِنها تَغزِلُ

    From the magic of your eyes the doe has learned

    And so too the fawns have learned to prance
