And fortune does not increase the sustenance of one
Hard work does not increase the provision of one who strives,
who strives, nor does it slumber, heedless of a sleeper.
Nor does sleep come to one who is asleep.
And the shepherd of sheep dies beside his thumam grass,
The shepherd dies with his flock around him,
the same death as the learned physician-philosopher.
Just as the learned physician and philosopher die.
