وَمِن عَجَبِ الأَيّامِ أَن قُمتَ ناطِقاً

وَمِن عَجَبِ الأَيّامِ أَن قُمتَ ناطِقاً

وَأَنتَ ضَئيلُ الصَوتِ مُنتَفِخُ السَحرِ

وَأَنتَ ضَئيلُ الصَوتِ مُنتَفِخُ السَحرِ

And among the wonders of the days is that you rose to speak,

Among the wonders of time is that you have spoken

Though your voice is feeble and your lung swollen.

Though with a small voice, puffed up with magic
