مِتْكِينُ بصرَتُنا وأَحمد أَحمدُ

نسعَى إِلى تلك البِقاعِ ونحفَدُ

Mitkín is our sight and Ahmad Ahmad

We strive towards those lands and excite

إِن فاتَنا شرفُ البِطاحِ وأَهلِها

مِتْكِينُ بَطْحانا وهذا السَّيِّدُ

If we miss the honor of Biṭāḥ and its people

Mitkín are our lands and this is the master

هذا الإِمامُ أَبو عليٍّ أَحمدٌ

قُطبٌ يَقومُ له الفَخارُ ويقْعُدُ

This imam Abū ‘Alī Aḥmad

A pole around whom the noble stand and sit

سَنَةٌ أَقامَ مُوَلَّهاً في سجدَةٍ

وكَذاكَ أَنْجابُ الفَواطِمِ تسجُدُ

A year he stood bowing in prostration

Thus also the progeny of Al-Fāṭimī bow in sujūd

هذا أَبو العَلَمَيْنِ أَحمدُ جَدُّهُ

من مُدَّ إِعْزازاً لمظهَرِهِ اليَدُ

This is Abū l-‘Alamayn Aḥmad his grandfather

Whoever extends a hand to aid his appearance, his hand is extended

وسرَتْ بها الرُّكْبانُ في كلِّ الوَرَى

بمَدائِحٍ في كلِّ فجٍّ تُنْشَدُ

And with it caravans travelled the world

With eulogies in every wilderness recited

إِن راحَ يجهَلُها الحَسودُ لحُمْقِهِ

فاللهُ يشهَدُ والبريَّةُ تَشهَدُ

If an envier is ignorant of it in his stupidity

Then Allah bears witness and the wilderness bears witness

شيخُ العُرَيْجا مُقْتَدى القَوْمِ الَّذي

بُرْهانُهُ بالخارِقاتِ مُؤَيَّدُ

Shaykh al-‘Urayjā role model for the people he

Whose proof with miracles is supported

والسَّيِّدُ الصَّيَّادُ نابَ جَنابَهُ

وابنُ الكِرامِ الصِّيدِ حقًّا أَصيَدُ

And the master aṣ-Ṣayyād has inheritors

And the son of generosity the hunt is truly prey

يا شيخَ مِتْكِينَ العِنايَةَ إِنَّني

بالقيدِ من غَوْشِ الوُجودِ مُقَيَّدُ

Oh Shaykh Mitkín, providence is with me

While with the shackles of existence I am bound

وافيْتُ بابَكَ خاشِعاً مُتَمَلْمِلاً

ونوالُ مثلِكَ يا ابنَ أَحمدَ يُرْصَدُ

I came to your doorstep humbly, worried

And the likes of you, O son of Aḥmad, are hoped for

جئتُمْ ببيتِ الهاشِمِيِّ أَئمَّةً

من سيِّدٍ ويَليهِ عِزًّا سَيِّدُ

You came with the Hāshimī house as imams

From a sayyid and after him a master sayyid

وفَخارُكُمْ في الأَولِياءِ لعِزِّهِ

ركنٌ على هامِ السَّماكِ مُشَيَّدُ

And your pride among saints due to his honor

A pillar erected on the apex of the sky

ولأَنتَ مولًى من طَويلِ بَنانِهِ

كم سحَّ بحرٌ بالخَوارِقِ مُزْبدُ

And you are a master from his tall columns

How many seas roar with miracles foaming

وافيْتُ رُحْبَكَ لي دُموعٌ قد جرَتْ

سيلاً وقلبٌ للمَهابَةِ يُرْعِدُ

I came to your vastness with tears that flowed

A torrent and a heart for reverence thundering

ولأَنتَ جَدِّي بل عَتادُ حَقيقَتي

وطَريقَتي لك في البَرِيَّةِ تُسْنَدُ

And you are my grandfather rather pillar of my essence

And my way in the wilderness by you is supported

أَنا ذلك الطِفْلُ الَّذي قمتُمْ به

ولكُمْ عليه بكلِّ آونَةٍ يَدُ

I am that child you stood by

And for you over him every instant exerted

مَهْديُّ دَوْحتِكُمْ ووارِثُ هَدْيَكُمْ

وله بكُمْ متنُ الفَخارِ مُمَهَّدُ

You are the cradle of your fervor and heir of your guidance

And for him through you the essence of pride is prepared

فتفضَّلوا كَرَماً بوِصْلَةِ حبلِهِ

فلأَنتُمُ آياتُكُمْ لا تُجْحَدُ

So bestow a kindness by tying its cord

For you, your signs cannot be rejected

لا زالتِ الرَّحَماتُ تنشُرُ مِسْكَها

أَبداً عليكم ما اسْتَفاضَ مُوَحِّدُ

The mercies have not ceased spreading their musk

Forever upon you as long as one professing tawḥīd remains

وتَعُمُّ أَبناءً لكُمْ وعِصابَةً

ما ذلَّ تِلميذٌ وعلَّمَ مُرْشِدُ

It includes your sons and a group of followers

No student wavered and every teacher guided
