قالتْ غُزَيِّلَةُ الغُوَيْ

رِ الرِّيمُ رامَ تِلاعَ رامَهْ

The melody of love said:

My beloved wandered off, oh why

ولأَجلِها هَجَرَ الأَحِ

بَّةَ والمَساكِنَ والإِقامَهْ

And for her sake, he abandoned the loved ones, the homes, the dwellings

We said: Renouncing the world

قُلنا التَّجرُّدُ للحَبي

بِ على محبَّتِهِ عَلامَهْ

For one's beloved is a sign of true love

And so we renounced the worldly life

ولِذا تجرَّدْنا بذي ال

دُّنْيا وفي يومِ القِيامَهْ

On Judgement Day we will stand bare

We ask God for safety

فُتْنا الوُجودَ مُجَرَّدِي

نَ ونسأَلُ الله السَّلامَهْ
