1. هَدِيُّكُمُ خَيرٌ أَباً مِن أَبيكُمُ

    أَعَفُّ وَأَوفى بِالجِوارِ وَأَحمَدُ

    Your guide is better than my father

    More gracious and faithful to the neighbor and most praised

  2. وَأَطعَنُ في الهَيجا إِذا الخَيلُ صَدَّها

    غَداةَ الصَباحِ السَمهَرِيُّ المُقَصَّدُ

    And I plunge into battle when the horses are charging

  3. فَهَلّا وَفي الغَوغاءِ عَمروُ بنُ جابِرٍ

    بِذِمَّتِهِ وَاِبنُ اللَقيطَةِ عِصيَدُ

  4. سَيَأتيكُمُ عَنّي وَإِن كُنتُ نائِياً

  5. قَصائِدُ مِن قيلِ اِمرِئٍ يَحتَذيكُمُ

    بَني العُشَراءِ فَاِرتَدوا وَتَقَلَّدوا
