Sulayma is clad in silk or fine linen,
And she may sometimes pass the sons of Naji.
For Sulayma has no hope of having,
At the Khawarnaq, any of the builders or weavers,
Nor are there guards at her gate,
Nor does she hire a Copt with brocade.
She walks with two replacements for pearls and cut glass -
The gait of one fettered in jute and pilgrimage.
