لَنا حُصونٌ مِنَ الخَطِّيِّ عالِيَةٌ
فيها جَداوِلُ مِن أَسيافِنا البُترِ
Ours are lofty fortresses of Khattian spears;
within them run streams from our keen, severing swords.
فَمَن بَنى مَدَراً مِن خَوفِ حادِثَةٍ
فَإِنَّ أَسيافَنا تُغني عَنِ المَدَرِ
Whoever builds with mud-brick for fear of calamity—
our swords spare us the need for mud-brick walls.
