وَجَدنا مُلكَ فَروَةَ شرَّ مُلكٍ

حمارٌ سافَ مَنخَرُهُ بقَذرِ

We found the king of Farwa worst of kings

A donkey rubbed his nose in filth

وإِنَّكَ لو رأيت أبا عُمَيرٍ

مَلأتَ يديكَ من غَدرٍ وخَترِ

And you, had you seen Abu Umayr

You would have filled your hands with treachery and betrayal
