نذرت لك العلا ونذرت بري

وقد وفيت فليحسن وفاؤك

I vowed to you the highness and vowed my piety

And I have fulfilled, so let your fulfillment be good

إذا كنت السماء وكنت أرضاً

ولم تمطر فلا كانت سماؤك

If you were the sky and you were the earth

And you did not rain, then you were not the sky

وإن لم يسق عودي منك ماء

فعودي يابس خجلاً وماؤك

And if my stick is not watered by you

Then my stick is dry, ashamed, and your water

فأما خجلتي فلسوء ظني

وأما أنت فالتقصير داؤك

So as for your shame, it is for my bad assumption

And as for you, the shortcoming is your disease
