Though my years have advanced, I still possess high resolve

whose excellence old age has not diminished.

The nights’ treachery has done me no harm, for

my hearing and the light of my sight remain faithful to me.

Nor has the lamp of my renown dimmed; I still possess

a sound mind and a tongue quick with words.
