يا كاشف الضر إذا ناداه أيوب

وجامع الشمل إذا ناجاه يعقوب

O Reliever of harm when Job called upon You,

And Reuniter of kin when Jacob conversed with You in secret,

وعالم السر والنجوى إذا خفيت

ضمائر سرها بالغيب محجوب

And Knower of secrets and whispers when they are hidden,

The intents of their mystery veiled from all by the unseen.

لعل معروفك المعروف ينقذني

من لوعة جمرها بالثكل مشبوب

Perhaps Your known kindness may deliver me

From the agony of embers stoked into flame by loss.

هب لي أمانك من خوف يبيت به

للهم في القلب تصعيد وتصويب

Grant me refuge in Your safety from a fear in which

Sorrow tosses and turns in the heart by night and by day.

وقد فزعت بآمالي إليك وفي

رحاب جودك للعافين ترحيب

In my hopes I have rushed for refuge to You, and in

The sanctuary of Your bounty is welcome for those seeking wellness.
