إلى غيرها فأسأت الظنونا

To another, so I harbored ill thoughts

فلا تعتذر عن جواب الظهور

فبعض الظهور يفوق البطونا

Do not apologize for a clear response

For some clarity exceeds what's obscured

ولا ترتهني بإمساكها

فلست بتارك خطي رهينا

Do not hesitate in withholding it

For I won't leave my writing hostage
