I have afflicted with my eyes him who afflicted my heart with his,

And my blood was not rational on the day of his craving.

My eyes have indeed avenged my heart, and

There was no legal thing for him from my love that he coveted.

So welcome to his eyes even if they craved my blood,

For how many masters were not given justice by the slave.

Away with my eyes, why did they hurt him!

If only they had not met the occurrence of evil before it.

O unjust one whom the soul likes his injustice,

And o killer whom the heart finds his killing sweet.

It saddens that the soul grants you all the love,

And that the heart with you is all of it.
