1. لَو كانَ قِرنُكَ مَن تَعِزُّ بِمَنعِهِ

    أَو مَن يُهابُ تَخَمُّطاً وَإِباءَ

    If your horn were someone you could take pride in forbidding,

    Or someone to be feared fiercely refusing compliance,

  2. سالَت مَحارِمُها عَلَيكَ بِأَوجُهٍ

    مِثلِ السُيوفِ مَهابَةً وَضِياءَ

    Its inviolabilities would flow down upon you with faces

    Like swords, awe-inspiring and radiant.
