The living will not alarm you if it's said he perished,

Fate took from us and left.

Look with acceptance at our people's remnants,

If today's dust cleared from the battlefield.

They took the portion that fate left,

Then said of the little, "It's yours."

I seek justice from an unjust time,

For people follow the faith of the king.

If the truth hosts a miser, he will not

Free either money or honor.
