I hear your call though you do not call me
Nor has death befallen the steadfast horse
You were but a serpent in the valley
And a lion against the hostile foe
Many a neighbor of mine from among the enemies
Stood as my pillar after humiliation
As though in most dire straits
The neighbor of Hudhali, my father Dauad
