I disappear and forget everything but passion

And if misfortunes afflict me for the sake of the beloved

And the day of separation only increases ardency

So neither yearning is forgotten nor are tears exhausted

I yearn when my riding camel yearns and in the desert

Nightingales that riders do not heed with their cries

For I have a longing that makes the passionate kindred yearn

And I have an affection that makes the riding camels yearn

And I care more passionately for my loved ones

From a distance that does not consider relatives
