The eve of time is polished bright,
And lisping jest is glibly dight.
Morn's skirt the horizon quitting,
Night's zone from waist is slipping quite.
The skyey welkin's hems are seaming,
Dawn's gloom with morning glow takes flight.
The day-shine little laughter stirs,
That comes with Festival's delight.
His Mihrabs witness gave that here
This Fast was undertaken right.
Obey the feast of joy and though
Seems thee the world gone wild its plight.
Take thou the goblets' blamed glee for
Naught else but false and vain the Wight.
