إِنَّ الأَمينِيَّةَ الَّتي شَرُفَت

إِنَّ الأَمينِيَّةَ الَّتي شَرُفَت

بِمَعشَرٍ في الوَرى لَهُم شان

بِمَعشَرٍ في الوَرى لَهُم شان

Indeed, the Aminiyya, which rose to honor

through a company of standing among humankind—

مُشرِفُهُم مُسرِفٌ وَعامِلُهُم

مُشرِفُهُم مُسرِفٌ وَعامِلُهُم

مُعامِلٌ وَالأَمينُ خَوّانُ

مُعامِلٌ وَالأَمينُ خَوّانُ

their overseer is a spendthrift, and their official

a crooked dealer—and the trusted man, a rank traitor.
