And a turbaned man, besotted with love for the youth,
A passionate lover of a youth intemperate and reckless too,
Yet his notions have been reversed:
Though men blame for this propensity, diverse their views.
Whenever he wants his boy in front of him,
When his love he openly shows, censure him not, but say
He calls to him: “Woe to you! Stand behind—behind!”
Sweet youth, arise, come to me here, come hither, closer, do.
