1. ومُوَرّدِ الخَدّينِ يَخطِرُ

    حينَ يخطِر في مورَّدْ

    The cheeks' spring flowing

    When it flows in the spring

  2. يَسقيكَ منْ جَفنِ اللُّجَينِ

    إذا سَقاكَ دَموعَ عَسْجَدْ

    It waters you from the pools of the eyes

    When the tears of the wakeful water you

  3. حتى تَظنّ النّجمَ يَنزِلُ

    أو تَظنَّ الأرضَ تَصْعَدْ

    Until you think the stars descend

    Or you think the earth ascends

  4. فإِذا سَقاكُ بِعَيْنِهِ

    وَبِفِيهِ ثمَّ سَقاكَ بِاليَدْ

    So when he waters you with his eye

    And his mouth then he waters you with his hand

  5. حَيَّاكَ بالياقُوتِ ثمَّ

    الدُّرِّ مِنْ تَحتِ الزَّبّرْجَدْ

    He greeted you with the ruby then

    With the pearl from under the peridot
