أم هُوَ في الحُمْرَةِ مصنُوعُ

Your cheek from your temple is smooth

Or is it made up with rouge?

وخَصْرُك المنهوكُ من دِقَّةٍ

أسالمٌ أمْ هُوَ مَقْطُوع

And your slender waist from slimness

Is it safe or cut off?

يا بادياً بالصُّبْحِ عن وجهه

والليلُ فوق الصبحِ موضوع

O you who at dawn reveals his face

While night above dawn is placed

مصايدُ العشاقِ مجموعةٌ

فيكَ وفي العُشَّاقِ مجموع
