قالوا به زُرْقَةٌ فقلتُ لهم

بذاك تَمَّتْ خصالُه البَهْجَهْ

They said there is blueness in it, so I said to them,

With that, its beautiful qualities are complete.

ما كَحَلُ العينِ مثلُ زُرقتها

كم بين ياقوتةٍ إلى سَبَجَه

There is no kohl around the eye like its blueness,

How far between a ruby and polished white pearl.
