كم من ضريرٍ بصيرِ

ومن بصيرٍ ضريرِ

How many a blind man is truly discerning,

And how many a sighted man is blind;

ومن حميرٍ تراهمْ

على ظهورِ الحمير

And how many an ass you see,

With the donkey upon his back.
