1. لا تَغْرض الدمعَ إِنْ دمعُ إمرئ غَرِضا

    ووال تحريضَه حتى تُرى حَرَضا

    Try this translation:

  2. لو رامَ أن يَرحَضَ الأوْصابَ ذو وَصَبٍ

    بغيرِ ماءِ مآقيه لما رَحَضا

  3. إِن يَغْدُ دمعيَ في صِبْغِ العقيق فَقُلْ

  4. وإِن عدا قلبيَ الرمضاء أو كبدي

  5. كم مشتكٍ مَضَضاً لمّا تأمَّل ما

  6. عَرَّضْتَ بالصَّبْرِ لي جَهْلاً ببحر أَسىً

    قد ظلَّ بيني وبين الصَّبْرِ معترضا

  7. يا كربلاءُ أَما لي فيك مُبْتَرَضٌ

    على الثناءِ فأبغي فيك مُبْتَرضا

    That remained between me and patience, obstructing

    O Karbala, do I not have in you a dwelling

  8. أن يُعْقَلِ الجسمُ أو يُؤبَضْ فما عَقَل الش

    وقُ المملّكُ أَحشائي ولا أبضا

    Of praise so I seek in you a dwelling

    That the body becomes reasonable or dotted, but the

  9. مَن لي إذا هِمَمي جالتْ بمعتَزمٍ

    يجيلُ تحتَ الدَّياجي الحُزْمَ والغُرُضا

    Passion did not reason in my intestines, nor did it dot

    Who do I have, when my determination set out with resolve

  10. عادى فؤادي سلوِّي في مَحَبَّتِه

    آل الرسول وعادى جفنيَ الغُمُضا

    To reveal under my black night courage and purpose

    My heart quarreled with its consolation in its love

  11. ما زلت أَمْحَضُهُمْ مَحْضَ الودادِ وما

    أوَدُّ وُدَّ سوى مَنْ وُدَّهم مَحضا

    For the People of the House, and my eyelid quarreled with drowsing

    I have not ceased to love them with the pure love of affection and I

  12. هوى بني هاشمٍ فرضٌ وأقْوَمُنا

    على السبيلِ الأولى قاموا بما فُرِضا

    Do not love any love but the love of them purely

    The love of the hashimites is an obligation and our

  13. الناقضين من اللأواءِ مُبرَمَها

    والمبرمينَ من النعماءِ ما انتقضا

  14. كان من الزمانُ فضاً حتى إِذا ملكوا

    تمييزَهُ مَيزوا فانمازَ كلُّ فضا

  15. يا من بغاني ارتكاضاً في محبَّتِهمْ

    لا زلتَ فيهم كما لا زلتُ مُرتكِضا

    Its distinction, each excellence was distinguished

    O you who caused me to stagger in love of them

  16. كم ناغضِ الرأسِ فوقَ الرَّحْلِ من سِنَةٍ

    أَقام صوتيَ منه الرأسَ إِذ نَغَضا

    You have remained staggering in it as you remained staggering

    How many bowed heads over saddle due to old age

  17. لما حدوتُ بمدحيهمْ ركائِبَهُمْ

    بسطتُّ من جأشِهِ ما كانُ منقَبضا

    My voice set right when it bowed

    When I spurred on the description of their glory

  18. ما زلتُ أطوي لهم بُسطَ المهامِهِ بال

    حُداءِ مُرتفعاً طوراً ومُنْخَفِضاً

    I extended what was contracted of fervor

    I have continued to fold for them the outstretching of glories now high, now low

  19. حتى نضا صِبْغُ ليلٍ ما عدا شبَها

    صِبْغَ الشباب إِذا صِبغُ الشباب نضا

    Until the dye of night passed but the dye

    Of youth when the dye of youth passes

  20. وكنتُ لا يطَّببيني مَدْحُهُمْ وهمُ

    مَن لم يجدْ مادحٌ من مَدحِهِم عِوَضا

    And I would not be suited for praising them while they

    Are those whose praiser does not find compensation in praise of them

  21. أُهدي قريضي وأُهديهِ وودَّيَ لو

    أَهدى القريضَ إليهم كلُّ مَن قَرَضا

    I present my poem and present my love and if

    Every composer presented a poem to them

  22. إن أعترض حبَّ أصحاب الكساءِ أجِدْ

    حُبّيهُمُ جوهراً في القلب لا عَرَضا

    If I approved a tear for him without blood

    Indeed, I would have approved blood for him without approval

  23. خلِّ الرُّبى والأضا واحلُل بساحتِهمْ

    تحلل بخير ربىً منهم وخير أَضا

    How much did I find with a tear to heal my sickness

  24. همُ زُبْدةُ الفخرعنهم في القديم وفي ال

    حديثِ صَرَّحَ محضُ الفخرِ إذ مُخِضا

    And how many wounded by what he faced of calamity

    Upon al-Husayn and he did not complain of being wounded

  25. يزدادُ فخرُ سِواهمْ عند فخرهمُ

    ضيقاً وإن طال ذاك الفخرُ أو عرُضا

    Is he not the son of the most perfect of people in

    Knowledge of what the Master of Creation legislated and made obligatory

  26. من كان حَشْوَ حشاهُ غيرُ حبِّهِمُ

    لا كان حشوَ حشاهُ غيرُ جمرِ غَضَا

    My self loathes with disgust what dark injustice

    Not for truth covers, when injustice disguts and the displeased disguts

  27. صلاةُ ربي على أبناءِ فاطمةٍ

    ما استيقظ الطرْفُ من غمْضٍ وما غَمَضا

    The injustice which its aspects gave birth to

    A thunderbolt whose light did not darken when it flashed

  28. وددتُ من وَدَّ مولايَ الحسينَ كما

    رفضتُ رافضَهُ جهلاً بما رفضا

    When the difficult situation grabbed the known brave one

    While the known remained unknown to the difficult situation

  29. سلِّم على نازلٍ بالطفِّ منزلُهُ

    إِنَّ السلامَ عليه كان مُفْتَرَضا

    Until a sharp sword of an ignoble fight

    Did not leave any clothing on him nor any breath

  30. على الحسينِ على سِبْطِ الرسول على ال

    مقبوض مُشْتَهياً للماءِ إذ قُبِضا

    But the sword of a sword at his slaughter

    If the slaughtered felt what was slaughtered, it would have become broken

  31. من كان في مَغرسِ الإسلام مغرسُهُ

    قضى على مُهجَةِ الإسلام حين قَضى

    No, but by my life, his spear would have become fragments

    Fearfully while those spears would have become broken

  32. لئن رضيتُ له دمعاً بغير دمٍ

    لقد رضيتْ له مني بغير رضا

    I did not cry white hair in the presence of villains, they thought me

    A dotard when they saw me among them dotted

  33. كم جدتُ بالدمع كي أشفي به مَرضي

    فما أرى الدمعَ إلا زادني مرضا

    If white hair arises in my head then that

    Is the light of prohibition and covering on the head risen

  34. وكم جريضٍ بما لاقاهُ من كمَدٍ

    على الحسين وإن لم يشتك الجرَضا

    But I cried for the display of the gardens upon the

    Chests ignorantly and there is no doubt an offering

  35. أليس بابن أتمِّ الخلق مَعرفَةً

    بعلم ما استنَّ مولى الخلق وافترضا

    Among a group all of whom the bow of misfortune drank

    And the poisoned scroll pleased when they were pure

  36. نفسي تَقي ذا امتعاضٍ ما أطلَّ على

    دُجى العجاج لغير الحقِّ ممتعضا

    The fires of hatred descended upon them, their

    Hearts blind, for if not blind, they would not have descended

  37. دُجى العجاج الذي انجابت جوانبُه

    عن نبض بَرْقِ ظُبىً لم يخبُ إذ نبضا

    A people whose folds are folded upon a land

    Did a peg return sound after it was bent?

  38. لمّا يَرمْ مقبضَ المأثور قَبْضَتُهُ

    في حين ظلَّ على المأثور قد قَبَضا

    And this, an obscure disease with no medicine

    Since the day of Badr, and the obscurer of the disease what darkened

  39. حتى نحاهُ سنانٌ غِبَّ ملحمةٍ

    لم تتَّركْ حَبَضاً فيه ولا نَبَضا

    When I remember their killing in the hot season

    I cool a chest that for long burned

  40. أمّا سنانُ سنانٍ عند وَخضَتِه

    فلو أحسَّ من الموخوضُ ما وخضا

    A people by whose merit the time went right for us

    Until when we lost their merit, the time sickened

  41. لا بل لعمري لأضحى رُمْحُه قِضةً

    خوفاً وأضحَتْ به تلك الرماحُ قِضا

    The beautiful things of our life turned ugly

    After them and the sweet taste became bitter

  42. لم أبكِ شيباً لدى الأحْفاضِ غادرني

    يخالني من رآني بينها حفَضا

    Living became hated to the noble mind and

    I only began to hate life after they were hated

  43. إن ينهض الشيبُ في رأسي فذلكمُ

    نورُ النهى والحجى في الرأس قد نهضَا

    An era passed for them when an era of hostility passed between them

    The swords of demise were lodged among them

  44. لكن بكيتُ لمعروض الجنان على ال

    حتوفِ جهلاً وما من ريبةٍ عُرضا

    In an age of injustice, they established its

    Arrows of injustice aimed at them

  45. في معشرٍ من ذويه كُلُّهمْ مخَضَ ال

    رَّدى له وَطبَهُ المسمومَ إذ محضَا

    Their persons increase the fear of injustice as

    The persons of injustice increase in breadth and expanse

  46. حلَّت بهم أُبَضَ الأحقادِ أَفئدةٌ

    لولا عماها إِذاً لم تحللِ الأبَضا

    Fate ruled for them that they be felicitous in the

    Misery of others, the Judge of creation ruled when He ruled

  47. من كلِّ حاضئِ نارٍ للشقاق إذا

    ما شيم إِطفاءُ نارٍ للشقاق حَضا

    So why did the land of Yazid become content

    With what flowed upon his land and did not consent?

  48. قومٌ طويّاتُهُمُ تُطوَى على أَرَضٍ

    هل عاد عَوْدٌ صحيحاً بعدما أَرضا

    And how the minbar did not shake the despised one

    If he only knew the shaking of the despised when it shook!

  49. وذا لغامض داءٍ لا دواءَ له

    من يَومِ بدرٍ وأدوى الداءِ ما غمضا

    O Yazid, whatever you borrow of miserable rags today

    Man is owed what he borrowed and borrowed

  50. إذا ذكرتُ على الرمضاءِ مَصْرَعَهُمْ

    بَرَّدْتُ بالدمعِ صدراً طالما رَمِضا

    You harbored from what comes after the world to protect it

    Like a dog from where it found a carcass it harbored

  51. قومٌ بفضلهُمُ صحَّ الزمانُ لنا

    حتى إذا ما عَدِمْنا فَضلَهُم مَرضا

    So the hatred of kingship disgusted with it transgressing

    It did not disgust a curse one day nor disgust

  52. أَضحت محاسنُ دنيانا وقد قَبُحَتْ

    من بعدهم والمذاقُ الحلو قد حمضا

    And the son of the damned, Obaidullah, tore apart

    Al-Mukhtar's term with the sword so it was torn

  53. وأَبغضَ العيشَ ذو اللبِّ الأصيل وما

    إِن أبغض العيشَ إِلاّ بعدما بغُضا

    After the interception of Obaidullah our masters

    With horses - and he sees them as steeds for misfortune

  54. مضى لهم إذ مضى بين العدى زمنٌ

    كانت سيوفُ المنايا فيهم وُمُضا

    With the horses of Iblis, those which galloped

    When Iblis appeared to them galloping

  55. في عصْرِ جَوْرٍ أقاموا فيه ترشقُهُمْ

    سهامُ جَوْرٍ أقامتهم لها غَرَضَا

    From every reckless breaker into war and the rashness of one

    Blind and blind to what was reckless for him

  56. تزدادُ أَشخاصُهُمْ خوفَ العدى قضَفاً

    من حيثُ يزداد أَشخاصُ العدى عرضا

    O you violating the oath of our Master and Sayyid

    Tomorrow the violation will surround the neck of the violator

  57. جرى القضاءُ لهمْ أَنْ يَسْعَدُوا بشقا

    سواهمُ جلَّ قاضي الخلقِ حين قضى

    Afflictions are not afflictions after time intercepted

    Afflictions upon us with what it intercepted

  58. فما لأرْضِ يزيدٍ كيف ما أرِضَتْ

    ممّا عرا أرْضَهُ منه ولا أرِضا

    You defend him as if an obligation while ruling

    And you would not have defended other than him as an obligation

  59. وكيف ما نَفَضَ المخذولَ مِنْبرُهُ

    ولو درى نَفَض المخذولَ وانتفضا

    So look to seeds that did not reside in a womb

    But they are seeds that resided in menstruation!

  60. يزيدُ مهما اقترضتَ اليومَ من تِرَةٍ

    فالمرءُ مُسْتَرْجَعٌ منه الذي اقترضا

    He who shepherded the evil of their deeds

    If a tender of the garden shepherded, it would not have consented!

  61. ربضتَ ممَّا يلي الدنيا لتحميَها

    كالكلبِ من حيثُ لاقى جيفةً ربضا

    So how many beds that did not contain but

    The sorrows of grief settled upon us!

  62. فملَّ منكَ غريضُ الملكِ معتدياً

    ما ملَّ من لعنةٍ يوماً ولا غَرِضا

    And how many meals passed upon us that the taster

    Does not find palatable or settled!

  63. وابنُ اللعينِ عبيدُ الله قد قرض ال

    مختارُ مُدَّتَهُ بالسَّيفِ فانقرضا

    So oh sorrow - what has led to sorrow

    And oh flesh - separation in the self if sorrow separated!

  64. بعد اعتراضِ عبيدِ الله سادَتَنا

    بالخيلِ وهو يراها للرَّدى غرَضا

    These were the stars of glorious flowers obscured

    And this was the banner of highness lowered

  65. بخيلِ إِبليسَ هاتيكَ التي رَكَضَتْ

    لما تراءَى لها إِبليسُ قد ركضا

    To God belongs the bride of light, her light humble

    Before the light of Spring when its light radiated warmth

  66. مَن كلِّ متَّفضٍ للحربِ وَفْضَة ذي

    عَمايةٍ وعمىً عمَّا له اتَّفضا

    Angry and frowning for truth, frowning

    For it before the displeased frowns and frowns

  67. يا ناقضاً عهدَ مولانا وسيدِنا

    غداً يُطَوَّقُ طوقَ النقض من نقضا

    In the place of roses and basil, her place

    And she does not yearn but for the barren and brush

  68. ليس الرزايا رزايا بعدما اعترض الز

    مانُ فيه علينا بالذي اعترضا

    She wants Kufa to be substituted for Halab

    And good substitute for the seeker of substitute

  69. تحمونه فُرْضةَ الورَّادِ ويحكُم

    ولم تكونوا لتحموا غَيرهُ الفُرَضا

    Gazelles of Wajrah or does she satiate

    Strutting between inclinations and inclinations

  70. فانظرْ إلى نُطَفٍ ما جاورتْ ظُهُراً

    لكنَّها نُطَفٌ قد جاورتْ حُيُضا

    She threw her burdens upon mankind for

  71. لقد رعى مَنْ رعى من سوءِ فعلهمُ

    ما لو رعاه أريضُ الروضِ ما أرِضا

    Exhausted in energy, she thinks

    That she was created without energy from the beginning

  72. فكم أَقَضَّتْ علينا من مضاجعَ ما

    تضمَّنتْ غيرَ لوعاتِ الأسى قضَضا

    The noble pedigree tires, her mind falters

    Tiring the link between them and the combs

  73. وكم أمرَّتْ علينا من مطاعمَ لا

    يعَافُ طاعمها صاباً ولا حُضَضا

    The youths tapped the jugular veins of her necks

    So the resurrection of Tattooers revolves around them

  74. فيا أسَى ما لما سدَّى وأَلحم ما

    بينَ الجوانح نَفْضٌ إِن أسىً نُقِضا

    Do not deny excess with her that

    Is not excess with excess

  75. هذي نجومُ المعالي الزُّهْرِ قد طُمِسَتْ

    وذا لواءُ العلى المرفوعُ قد خُفِضا

    The coquetry is not of my forums, but

  76. لله بارضَةُ الأنوارِ مخجلةٌ

    نَوْرَ الرَّبيعِ إذا ما نوْرُهُ برَضا

  77. ضَبِّيَّةٌ غضِبَتْ للحقِّ وامتعضتْ

    له لدنْ غضِبَ الضبيُّ وامتعضا

  78. في موطنِ الورد والنسرينِ موطنُها

    وليس تشتاقُ إلا الرِّمْثَ والحُرُضا

  79. تودُّ لو عُوِّضَتْ كوفانَ من حلبٍ

    وحبَّذا عِوَضاً للمبتغي عِوَضا

    The condition of houses is to say, when you are alone

  80. أظِباءُ وَجْرَةَ أم مها ساباطِ

    تختال بين عواطفٍ وعَواطِ

    تُلْقى القَباطي منه فوقَ قباطي

  82. منهوكةُ الأوساطِ تُحْسَبُ أنّها

    خُلِقَتْ لدنْ خُلقَتْ بلا أوساط

    Between the whispers of the Magi, its whispers in it

    And the babbling of the Nabataeens

  83. تطوى نبيلَ الطيِّ يتْعبُ فكرُها

    تَعبَ الواشطِ فيه والأمشاط

    The bond of tear released the night of Bali

    A mention that dissolved bonds of our mourning, its bond

  84. نَقَطَ الشبابُ لها دُوَيْنَ نحورِها

    فلَكاً أقمْنَ قيامةَ الخرَّاط

    Far from the soft ground and below it

    The banners of zigzagging and the disbelief of the palace

  85. لا تنكرِ الإِفراطَ في كَلَفي بها

    ما ذلك الإفراطُ بالإِفراط

    Halab did not milk the affairs of my tears

    Unless the sorrow bound with it, my bond

  86. ليس الصبابةُ من سِقاطي إِنّما

    ترْكُ الصبابةِ منْ أجلِّ سِقاطي

    And if the young man's mother poked him

    Then composure is to rest the son of a mischief-maker

  87. كم عارضٍ للّهوِ عارضناهْ مِنْ

    طرَبٍ إلى خُلَطائنا الأخْلاط

    Success is spontaneously, spontaneously, if

  92. دِمَنُ تظلُّ الريحُ تُهْبِطُ ما سما

    للعينِ منها أعنفَ الإهباط

    They wagered with our saddlebags the unfathomables

    Plunging with our saddlebags plunging unfathomables

  93. ما بين زمزمةِ المجوسِ حفيفُها

    فيها وبين تراطُنِ الأنباط

    A drink that doubled them, the drink of the cups of wine

    When they engaged it the engagement doubled

  94. حلَّتْ رباطَ الدمعِ ليلةَ بالسٍ

    ذِكرٌ حَلَنْنَ منَ العزاءِ رباطي

    They crossed the sea of eternity upon bridges

    Folded from marble and palace

  95. هيهاتِ أَرْضُ الرقَّتَينِ ودونها

    أَعلامُ زغْرَيّا وكَفْرُ بلاطِ

    It reduces to the distant stage beautifully

    Reducing every distant of stages through

  96. لم تحتلبْ حلبٌ شؤونَ مدامعي

    إِلا وقد نيط الأسى بنياطي

    Continuous talents and intelligence, but

    Crowding of limbs and body parts

  97. وإذا الفتى وَقَذَتْهُ أُمُّ حَبَوْكَرٍ

    فالحزمُ أن يَتَوسَّدَ ابنَ ملاطِ

    Flitting ones like what flitted the surly

    From between reaped and protected thickets

  98. النُّجْحُ من تلقاءِ هيدِ هيدِ إِن

    حاولتَ نُجحاً أو يعاطِ يعاطِ

    Protection wagers it such that they

    My ambitions in place of its protection waged

  99. يَصلُ السُّرى مني زميلُ صبابةٍ

    وَصلَ الكلالَ لدى السُّرى بنشاطِ

    Until when they alighted since they alighted, an aerial castle

    Above the stars and the most extensive palace

  100. بصوادقٍ مرِّ الحفاظِ ممثَّلٍ

    من وَخدِهِ في مثل سَمِّ خِياطِ

    The highest children of Islam, the peak of a dome

    Eternally and the farthest of it reach, the outstretching castle

  101. تلقاهُ كالربعِ الطَّليح وقبلُ ما

    لاقيتَ أروعَ كالفنيقِ الطاطي

  102. من بعدِ كلِّ هياطٍ انصابتْ له

    شَرْخُ الزِّماعِ وبعد كلِّ مياط

  103. خاضتْ بأرحلنا الغُطاطَ نجائبٌ

    تَهْوي بأرحلنا هُوِيَّ غَطاط

  104. شَرْبٌ ثَناهمْ شُرْبُ كاساتِ السُّرى

    لمَّا تعاطَوْها أَحثَّ تعاطي

  105. عبروا بحارَ البيدِ فوق قناطرٍ

    مطويّة من مَرمر وبلاط

  106. تُدْني إلى الشَّوطِ البعيدِ مناسماً

    يُدنين كلَّ بعيدةِ الأشواطِ

    More precise than Aristotle’s sight if

    You look at it, and penetrates more than Hippocrates

  107. بتواصلِ الدأيات والأثباج بل

    بتهاجُر الأعضاد والآباط

    But all hearts are fluctuating from

    The flowers of that garden over spread

  108. متطايراتٍ مثل ما طار السُّرى

    من بين سَرغٍ مُحْصَد وَحَماط

    It composed its etiquette, the thought that

    Was composed like the symmetry of pearls in necklaces

  109. تحمي نواجيها سياطي أنَّها

    قامت لها هممي مقامَ سياطي

    A thought that became padlocks and every

    Padlock of thought but a key to deduction

  110. حتى وطئن لدن وطئن حمى فتىً

    من هاشمٍ فوق الكواكب واطي

    It is that gentle, high mountain climbed

    In knowledge and the distant, boundless sea

  111. أعلى بني الإسلام ذروةَ قبَّةٍ

    أبداً وأبعدُهمْ مدى فُسطاط

    It meets the corpses from worldly matters if

    They crawl with bright-faced natures, dead spirits

  112. لا تبعدنَّ خلالُ إِبراهيم كم

    نُشِرَتْ على الأذهان نَشْرَ رياط

    As if scattered pearls from seashells but

    As if strewn pearls from oysters

  113. سيفٌ متى ما يسطُ يُعْلَمْ أنه

    أجَلٌ على مُهَجِ الحوادثِ ساط

    A submerger of branches yet it yields highness

    The yielder of highness from every submerged branch

  114. من حيثُ رِيمَ فَعِرْضُهُ متطاولٌ

    ما إِن يرامُ ومالُهُ مُتطاطي

    It grows unto a grandson of generosity that

    Its taproots are from the most generous of taproots

  115. هَوْلٌ عِلاطُ الفعلِ فيه إِذا غدا

    قولُ امرئٍ عُطْلاً بغير عِلاط

    By God, fathers who dragged from their glory

    The course of the glorified rivers and earrings

  116. فمتى اتَّقيتَ به اتَّقيتَ بنَثرَةٍ

    ومتى استعنتَ به تُعَنْ بإِباطي

    Guidance was bundled within them and guidance was not

    To be bundled but in the most glorious bundle

  117. بأَدقَّ من رسطالسٍ نَظَراً إذا

    ناظَرْتَهُ وأَشفَّ من بُقْراط

    In a gazebo the impudence turned its branches

    So it came stumbling in the most impudent stumbling

  118. أَما القلوبُ فكلُّها متقلِّبُ

    من زهرِ ذاك الرَّوض فوقَ بِساط

    And you split your fate, O Abu Ishaq

    So your fate is the most plentiful of fates

  119. نَظَمَتْ له آدابَهُ الفِكَرُ التي

    نُظِمَتْ نظامَ الدرِّ في الأخياط

    And you took from the glorious knowledge

    Guarded from the guarded glory

  120. فِكَرٌ غَدَتْ أقفالَ فكرٍ كلُّها

    لكنَّهنَّ مفاتحُ استنباط

    Ambitions that met their tracks, ambitions that

    Stood awes from behind awes

  121. هو ذلك الجبلُ المنيفُ المرتقَى

    في العِلمِ والبحرُ البعيدُ الشاطي

    The screeching triumph, when it hurls in

    Its paths like Jerboa rodent, the bouncer

  122. يلقى الجعادَ من الأمور إذا دَحَتْ

    بخلائقٍ بيض الوجوهِ سِباط

    Sagacity stands where your shadow stands

    Eternal and walks where your walking shadow walks

  123. كالدرِّ منثوراً من الأصداف بل

    كالدرِّ منشوراً من الأسْفاط

    How much have you left from an affectionate guardian giant

    Unattainable, and from a hostile puny one

  124. غاطي الفروع وإِنما يجني العلى

    جاني العلى من كلِّ فرعٍ غاطي

    Take a robe whether the editing bared it or

    It does not need the arrange and tailor

  125. ينمى إِلى سِبطٍ من الكرمِ الذي

    أَسباطُهُ من أكرمِ الأسباط

    And correct my speech, for if I omitted in

    My speech then do not ignore the omission

  126. للهِ آباءٌ جَروا من مجدِهمْ

    مجري شنوفِ المجدِ والأقراطِ

    It is wisdom gifted you and it is only

    Wisdom gifted to Socrates

  127. نيطَ الهدى فيهمْ وما كان الهدى

    لِيُناطَ إِلاّ في أَجلِّ مُناط

    Brochure of praise, if its editing

    Becomes a pattern, it becomes the color of patterns

  128. في سَرْحَةٍ ردَّ الشَّطاطُ غصونَها

    فأتت تهادَى في أجلّ شطاط

    They possessed my conscience so it dispersed

    Its thoughts in fairness not injustice

  129. وَفَّرتَ قسطَكَ يا أبا اسحقَ من

    شَرَفٍ فَقِسطُكَ أوفرُ الأقْساط

    If I rouse my desire to your praise it dwells the

    Praise to it in every rug

  130. واحتطْتَ للعلياءِ علماً أَنَّها

    ما إِن تَني تحتاطُ للمحتاط

  131. هممٌ قَفَتْ آثارَها هممٌ فقد

    قامتْ سماطاً من وراءِ سماط

  132. الأغلبُ الجحجاحُ جين يرمُّ في

    طُرُقاتها كالضَّيْطرِ الوطواط

  133. تقفُ النباهةُ حيث ظلُّك واقفٌ

    أبداً وتخطو حيث ظلُّك خاطي

  134. كم غادرتْ لكَ من ودودٍ شامخٍ

    لا يُسْتَطاعُ ومن عدوٍّ لاطي

  135. خُذْ حُلَّةً إِمّا عراها النشرُ لم

    تحتج إلى الرفَّاء والخيَّاط

  136. وتصحفنْ كَلمِي فإن أَسْقَطتُ في

    كلمي فلا تصفحْ عن الإِسقاط

  137. هي حكمةٌ تُهْدى إليك وإِنما

    هي حكمةٌ تُهْدَى إلى سقراط

  138. ديباجُ مدحٍ لو غدا ديباجُهُ

    نمطاً غدا من مُذْهبِ الأنماط

  139. مَلَكتْ عُلاكَ ضمائري فتَوزَّعَتْ

    خطراتها بالقِسْطِ لا الإِقساط

  140. فإذا بَعَثتُ إلى مديحكَ هاجسي

    قَعدَ المديحُ له بكلِّ سِراط
