My heart is captive to your love,

Its passionate longing and fervor like blazing fire.

I wanted to turn away from you, but

The devil intervened to bind us together.

If my love for you is like steel,

Your charm has a magnetic pull.

O wanderer, the wedding has passed,

After it is only misfortune and woe.

By God, of all we have heard,

Never a bride with another bride's favor.
