ومؤنّث الألحاظ يف

تكُ بالمُلاحظِ حين يَلحَظْ

The gaze with femininity

You become with the observer when observing

غَلُظَ العذولُ عليَّ في

ه وما بقلبي منه أغْلَظ

The severity of celibacy upon me

It and what is in my heart more severe

لو مرَّ بالأعمى لأب

صر أو بعنّينٍ لأنعظ

If the blind man passed by, he would see

Or with two eyes he would be warned
