I see the peach trees donned new clothes,
Kindled into flame, I deemed them torches.
Clad in yellow robes I mistook them for brides,
Whenever the eye glimpsed them midst meadows.
In a garden, no sooner its carpets appeared
To a viewer, than partridges hailed them.
Dewdrops on it glide, when it thrills with joy,
The thrills make the slumbering dewdrops dance.
I spent my youth reveling with my friends,
Trailing the tail of my youth and its wiles.
The sessions of the Hashimi king have lasted
Till his summit rivaled a star in stature.
You see him with no peer to rival his worth,
As if for each limb he has a competing limb.
Corridors thronged with glory and generosity,
And achievements turned into deep-cut wonders.
Say to his rivals, has a footman ever
Rivaled the noble horseman in exploits?
