الطّيبُ يُهدَى وتُستهدَى طرائِفُهُ

وأَشرَفُ النّاسِ يُهدي أشرَفَ الطّيبِ

The finest perfume is gifted and sought after

And the noblest people gift the finest perfume

والمِسكُ أَشبهُ شيءٍ بالشَّبابِ فَهَب

شبهَ الشّبابِ لبعضِ العُصبةِ الشّيبِ

Ambergris is most like youth, so bestow

The semblance of youth on some of the gray-haired group
