March brought us its fragrance,
And awakened the birds with its passion.
See how the garden reveals its suns,
Rising between moons.
Greenery not devoid of yellowness,
Whiteness not devoid of redness.
And if the garden is generous with us,
It pours upon us fruits.
A shoulder rotating in the pots,
Has turned to us virgin shoulders.
Every canal meandering with a belt,
Adorning its waist and bracelets.
Jasmine is plucked from its delicate body,
And roses are picked from its cheek.
I see not the peach satisfied with beauty,
Or living out its years.
My friend, have you seen better than this flower?
Some crave it, some envy.
Images that arouse you with their hues,
From what is concealed within.
The roses blush when the narcissi surpass,
Their beauty, and the anemones turn red.
This was done by a blush, and that
By confusion, and the anemones turned yellow.
The poppies now laugh in wonder,
At the coquetry of their tender buds.
The gossip informed the lilies
When secrets were divulged.
The lilies then revealed bruised cheeks,
Bearing traces of their blows.
Tears were poured over them,
As plentiful tears are poured.
The tender violets donned mourning clothes,
When patience was betrayed.
Illness afflicted the delicate jasmine,
Until harm melted it away.
The meadow then called out to all the flowers,
And rallied to it crowds galore.
To battle the narcissus with broken pots,
Which cannot be opposed.
It approached in armored legions,
Beneath armor of unsheathed blades.
But when I saw the pale narcissus,
Hardly capable of winning.
I kept showing kindness to the rose,
Fearing the defeat of the light.
So we gathered them in an assembly,
Where birds and strings sang.
If you saw them, you'd say cheeks
That draw stares with their glance.
And we passed the cups as the lute
Sang with passion and the guitar strummed.
