ثاقبِ الفكرِ ذي فؤادٍ بصيرَ

I love no blind man but the one whose mind

Sees clearly, whose heart is keen of sight.

هل يضرُّ الضريرَ ناظرُهُ المظ

لمُ ما كانَ ذا فؤادٍ منير

Of what concern is it if darkness blinds

A man whose inner being shines bright?
