I offered myself to the rose
So I was delighted with the soul of a soul
Of a white that surpassed its kind
And a red that excelled its genre
As if the hand had dipped it
In saffron with a dip
It was not when it appeared
Except a bride and wedding
I joined it the joining of my like
For a glance, smell and touch
And if it was touched by a heart
The familiar corrupted its intimacy
No, if one full of it came
Or if one absent forgot
