1. للسبت عندي يُدٌ سأشكرُها

    شُكْرَ مقرٍّ له ومعترفِ

    I will thank Saturday with a grateful hand

    Thanking and acknowledging it

  2. اصطدتُ ظبيَ الفلاة في طَرفٍ

    منه وظبيَ الأنيسِ في طرف

    I hunted down a gazelle on the edge

    Of it, and the gazelle of a friend on the other edge

  3. قَلَّدَني الفألُ إذ ظفرتُ بداً

    بأنَّ هذا منِّي على شَرَف

    Fate adorned me when I attained the prey

    That this was from me at an honorable edge

  4. عاديتُ ذا أوّلاً ورحتُ إلى

    هذا أخيراً في وقتِ منصرفي

    I went to the first one first and then to

    The other lastly in my leaving time

  5. وكان ما بين ذين من تُحَف ال

    قَصْفِ كما أَشتهي من التُّحَف

    And what was between the two of splendor’s

    Aggression was what I wished from splendors
