You have been absent, my lords, from Mudar
Between the nomads and the settled lands,
Leaving Misnia so long absent
Like an unlit night in Halab.
When will your return be ordained?
I find no fault with fate.
O two lights of Hashim, it suffices
That you are the lamps of mankind.
You are of Hashim and his father,
In the place of hearing and sight.
